Slim & Sassy Competition

Day One Hundred and Five (April 30, 2013)

I did it! I completed the Slim and Sassy competition. I feel great! I managed to loose 12 lbs...I know it is not a lot, but I feel AMAZING! I am no longer breathing heavily when I am walking up the stairs and it has been great to know that I actually finished the program. This of course is only the beginning and will continue doing the program and see if I can't get the 6-pack that every man dreams of having! You can see the change a lot in my face. The doTerra Slim & Sassy competition has been fun. To give you a breakdown of what I did, here is a list of To Do's if you are going to do your own program:

  • NO SODA! - This is a must! You have to give up the sugary drink if you're going to see any results.
  • Lots of Water - What water does is that it regulates your metabolism. So the more water you are drinking, the more regulated you're going to be.
  • Workout (1.5 hours) - This includes push-ups, sit-ups, running, jogging, aerobics  strength training, lifting weights. Try to mix it up a little. 90 days with the same routine can be a little mundane.
  • Portion Control - I didn't just eat salad all the time. I mixed it up. Yes, I did eat fast food from time to time, but I got a salad, but NEVER soda.
  • Keep a journal - This blog is a little was something that kept me going. Then I couldn't get the time because work and moving were crunching my time, but I never swayed from taking my doTerra products.
  • DoTerra Slim & Sassy products. If you haven't got them yet, get yours at the product store at http://www.doterra.myvoffice.com/buydoterraoils/
You are going to loose weight if you are sticking to the program and the oils help you maintain your weight for the slip-ups that many weight loss endevors happen. It has been fun and YES I know it has been over a month from the last time I posted in this. I was trying to bounce back to working out EVERY DAY and it was tough with work. It is great that I finished and have not had any soda for 3 months! Thanks for those who supported me through this and now on to get my six-pack abs!

Day Fourty-Nine (March 5, 2013)

Ok. So it has been a while since my last blog update. There has been a lot of work and it is hard to really put my thoughts on paper. Up to now, you all know what my workout program consists of. I have struggled a bit with maintaining 2 hours a day and it has only been 1 hour a day. The workout always consists of a 30-minute Cardio. You have to have cardio to burn off my fat stomach. This is followed by lifting 5lb weights for a while and sit-ups, crunches and push ups. I keep telling myself that I need a gym, but to drive 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes back is just not happening.

For my meals, I have gone 49 days without a SINGLE SODA! I am pretty proud of myself with that one. As for fast food, there have been a little bit of splurging here and there, but I always either get the lean chicken or salad without a soda and fries. So, in retrospect, I have been doing mighty good on that. I am currently at 185lbs.....don't know what happened there. This morning when I weighed myself I was 182. Anyways. It is not how you start, it's how you finish. It as been a little over a month now and I need to rebound off of this and lose a lot of weight healthily. This means that my workouts have to happen no matter what.

As for the overall experience. I have been taking the Slim & Sassy Metabolic blend and since switching to putting them in pill form, I don't dread that part of the day. The TrimShake is doing its job because I have lost several inches off my waist! It is almost time to punch a new hole in the belt! So, after 49 days into this, I do feel myself being able to climb stairs with ease rather than acting like Runt of the Litter on Chicken Little. "Just go on without me! Just live some Water, chips if you got 'em"

______________________________________________________________

Day Fourty-One (February 25, 2013)

The program of exercising is BACK ON and it is going to have to stay on. Work is busy and so there just really is no time to really to 2 hours even of a workout. Perfect timing for a competition huh? But I digress. The weight is slowly coming off me. I am at 183.8 now and actually feel like I have lost some weight. I am more focused on loosing my belly because it is just unattractive. I need to read some more Men's Health magazines I guess if I had the time. However, it is good to be back with the TrimShakes again and working out.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "Your Shape" and Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (running, weight lifting)

Meals:

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake Chocolate
Lunch: Orange
Dinner: Pizza
Water: 8 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 2 with lemon)

I like to splurge every now and then. However, this would make it the 41st day without Soda! That alone has shed some unwanted pounds. At this rate though, I think that I am going to have a hard time to safely lose the weight I wanted to going into this competition. However, I am not giving up. The Metabiolic Blend, Lemon and Grapefruit that I take is great for my body. I think that is why I haven't gained a lot if I sneak a snack.

Day Thirty-Six (February 20, 2013)

So it seems that this blogging my process has been harder than I thought. Even now it is 2am as I type this one. Workout has been good and bad. With work taking up my morning, afternoon and evening, it is hard to take time and do an actual workout. With that, it has to get on track again.

As it stands, I am at 184 lbs. (83 kg). Not good for a month and a few days if I am to loose 50 lbs. However, on the bright side of things, it is getting easier to walk up the stairs, I am slipping out of my jeans and overall, I have a new liking to fruits and vegetables. As for the blog, I am going to try to be better with it. As I have said before, it is good to log my progress as I go.

Workout:

None

Meals:

Breakfast: Orange
Lunch: Not hungry
Dinner: Egg and Broccoli Quiche
Water: 9 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with grapefruit)

As you can see, I have fallen off the workout wagon. For the past two days I haven't. This changes tomorrow. I can't allow myself to miss the workout. It is going to be impossible to lose weight without it. However, I am proud of myself that I am sticking to the doTerra products and healthy eating. I need to make sure that these workouts happen and I will be able to have the energy to do a lot more in the future. There are so many things that will be opened up to me if I am healthy and want to make sure that I am sticking to the routine.

______________________________________________________________

Day Thirty (February 14, 2013)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I am at 186.4 lbs (84.6 kg). That is almost 10 lbs from where I started. This shows that I was great to lose 10 lbs, but was looking to lose a bit more in one months time. This is because of my slacking on the exercising. However, that is going to change. My goal for the next thirty days is to do workouts on the Weekends too. I want to say that I will do 3 hour workouts a day, but the schedule that I have to keep won't allow for that. But I will push myself.

Workout:

1 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus"

Meals:

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake
Lunch: Not hungry
Dinner: Chicken and Rice
Water: 8 glasses (4 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with Lemon)

There is so much work, so little time in the day. I get up at 6 am and then work out. However, I get wrapped up in work and forget about the afternoon workout. However, from tomorrow, that has to change and I can't allow my own doubts get the best of me. With the weight that I have lost now is great. I need to maintain it and make sure that it doesn't come back.

______________________________________________________________

Day Twenty-Nine (February 13, 2013)

Another day, another wieght loss program. I am starting to feel a little bit of change in my life already. With almost 10 lbs (4 kilo) less on my body, it feels good. However, still have that big belly sticking out. It is quite frustrating. Sometimes you wish that the pounds will disappear when we want. Oh well!

Workout:

1/2 hour shoveling the snow

Meals:

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake
Lunch: Cottage Cheese
Dinner: Chicken Strips
Water: 10 (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with Grapefruit, 1 with Lemon)

So you have to splurge a little. Had a lot of work to do so hence the lack of workout today. It is getting hard to schedule the workout to work with my schedule. However, feel that it is going to allow me to push for 2 hours. From here on out, I am not taking a break on the weekends. I want to be able to obtain my goal and with the help of the doTerra products, I am hoping that it is going to work well for me.

______________________________________________________________

Day Twenty-Eight (February 12, 2013)

The work out continues to have some sort of routine to it. Got more of Slim & Sassy products today and am ready to get to taking that some more. Was almost out of the S&S Metabolic blend. Also tried the blend in capsules. SO MUCH BETTER! Granted, some oils are just too much to take in. Putting the drops into empty capsules was great. Still mastering how to put them in without spilling the oils. However, I am sure that I will find out.

Workout:

1 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus"

Meals:

Breakfast: Egg Sandwich
Lunch: Orange
Dinner: Salad
Water: 8 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend 2 with Grapefruit Essential Oil)

Still trying to get to 2 hours of a workout. I have heard that if I am going to lose any weight, I have to work out for more than 1 hour. I have to make time by moving things around. Gonna have to keep pushing and show that I can do this. Just wish that my belly would shrink. It sticks out WAY TOO far for me.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Twenty-Seven (February 11, 2013)

At the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland
It has been officially a month since starting the program and I am going at it at a healthy manner. According to the Slim & Sassy guide, I am losing 2 lbs a week. This puts me at a healthy fat loss. However, if I am going to reach my goal, I have to push the program a bit harder. The workouts are hard to maintain at 2 hours a day. Lately they have been an hour with half an hour cardio with a half an hour strength training. This is too little if I am going to get down to 145 lbs with all muscle. However, the main goal in all of this is to have an entire new lifestyle. So far, I have accomplished that.

Workout:

1/2 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (morning)
1/2 hour  Weight lifting (5 lbs repeatedly)

Meals:

Breakfast: Slim & Sassy TrimShake
Lunch: Egg Sandwich.
Dinner: Salad with Chicken
Water: 10 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with Grapefruit)

On Sunday I managed a one hour workout and then we had guests over. It always seems to be the case. Tomorrow will try to stick to the 2 hour workout plan and really push myself to do the workouts. The fat isn't going to disappear on its own. However, starting to get used to the Metabolic Blend now. It is a little much to take in the water. However, it is doing its job by making me not crave food at night. It has been a month on the program and I have not had one soda at ALL! That is an accomplishment. The best thing is that I am not craving it.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Twenty-Five (February 9, 2013)

I'm back! Was on vacation with the family and attempted to keep with the workout and diet. That didn't work out too well and wasn't really open to discussing the failure that I was slipping into. I had to eat Mexican Food because there is no restaurant that makes it good where I live. Yes, it is not an excuse, but I slipped everyone now and then. After getting home I stepped on the scale thinking that I ruined the weight that I lost. Luckily I only gained 1 pound thanks to the Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend, Lemon and Grapefruit. It was really hard to work out because, lets face it, I was on vacation! However, I resumed today with the program right from the morning. As of the end of Week 4, I am at 187.8 lbs (85.1 kg). Not too bad! Was hoping for more than that, but it is a slow start to a fast finish right? However, proud of myself to getting back to the diet and exercise!

Workout:

1/2 hour Kinect "UFC Trainer" (morning)
1/2 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (morning)
1 hour Cleaning around the house (afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Not really hungry. Orange
Lunch: Egg Sandwhich w/ lettuce
Dinner: Not really hungry. Salad
Water: 9 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 3 with Lemon and 1 with Grapefruit)

As you can see I mix oils with water. There are other ways to put oils in your body. One way is via empty capsules. I recommend this for the Metabolic Blend because it is quite strong. The workout plan is going to have to go into the weekends as well because if I am going to reach my end goal, I can't slack. I am really proud that I haven't has a single sip of soda for a month almost! Interesting that I am not even craving one when in the past I had 3 glasses of soda a day! This competition has really opened my mind up to a lot of things and I can't believe that salad is actually becoming my favorite things to eat!

_____________________________________________________________

Day Seventeen (February 1, 2013)

YUMMY! WHOLE GRAIN!!
Today was a wash for the workout. It was a busy day with work and getting everything for the house that Jamie wanted. So technically, I walked around the mall for an hour. However, this means that I am going to have to push the workout more. I am stalemate at 189.4 lbs (85.9 kg) it seems and it is hard to keep up the routine. However, I am pushing forward with this no matter how weird the metabolic blend tastes. However, it is good that I am not breaking my diet.

Workout:

Skipped

Meals:

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake
Lunch: Eggs and Potato Wrap
Dinner: Salad with chicken (My new-found favorite meal)
Water: 6 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic blend)

So there will be a blog post for Saturday and Sunday because there will be a workout plan (hopefully a morning and afternoon one) So this has been 3 weeks almost into the program and I went from 195.4 (88.6 kg) to 189.4 lbs (85.9 kg) Six pounds isn't that bad in 3 weeks, because that is Healthy Fat Loss. However, if I am going to get down to 145 lbs, I need to push myself a little bit harder then an hour workout a day. Mostly I am looking at this as a way not to be dependent on Fast Food and Soda. If I lose 50 lbs (which is the big goal) than super! However, if I get to the point where I am healthy and strong, then even better.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Sixteen (January 31, 2013)

No, I haven't dropped out of the program. I just am not really that good at keeping up a daily journal. In fact, never have been able to do so. that is why it is great to catch up a little. Lucky for me, I get to keep track of my diet and results throughout the day by writing it down somewhere. Thursday was  a tough day because we had a guest over and so no afternoon workout.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "UFC Trainer"

Meals:

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake
Lunch: Not Hungry
Dinner: Hot dog pizza rolls. (a little splurge)
Water: 9 glasses (5 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 3 with Lemon Essential Oil and 1 with Grapefruit)

So the hot dog rolls were splurging a bit, but the they are still, pretty healthy. I think that the biggest accomplishment that I have made is giving up Soda. That alone is hard because I was drinking 3-4 glasses a DAY! So the little splurge on the food was alright. However, the workout slipped and so I am going to have to make up the workout by working out on Saturday.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Fifteen (January 30, 2013)

The lifesaver for headaches!
Another day, another pound! I am at 189.8 lbs (86.1 kg). This is good to see some progress. However, if I am to reach my goal, I am going to have to lose 4 lbs a week and not two weeks. This could be just a precursor to the weight that I am going to be losing soon.

I found out why I didn't like the taste of Metabolic Blend. It is because I didn't separate into 5 glasses, just 3. So yeah, 8 drops in one glass is WAY TOO MUCH! The workout was light compared to the other days. Gonna have to rub some Deep Blue Rub on me to relieve my muscles. The addition of weights has increased my workout.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "Your Shape"
1 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus"

Meals

Breakfast: S&S TrimShake Chocolate
Lunch: Orange
Dinner: Healthy Pizza and Salad
Water: 8 glasses (3 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with Lemon Essential Oil)

The pizza thing is always a nice treat. With prosciutto ham, lettuce and tomato, it is really tasty. However, don't think that I should have it all the time. I am happy that I am at 189 lbs. However, need to keep it up so that I can get to 145-150 lbs. That way I can focus on muscle building and be able to have more energy. I have heard that it will be possible, just need to make sure that it happens.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Fourteen (January 29, 2013)

So I couldn't post this yesterday because of the power issues we were having. Fun things always seem to happen. However, all is well and I am still up to par with my exercise routine. Even with Carsyn out of school for Winter Break, I am able to get up and do the workout. The Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend is not really fun to drink down and it is pretty strong. Still loving the TrimShakes though. The grapefruit really does its job well and it allowed me not to feel hungry. I still ate a little to keep my energy up.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "UFC Trainer" (morning)
1 hour cleaning the house. (afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Doterra Slim & Sassy TrimShake Chocolate
Lunch: Apple and Orange
Dinner: Eggs, Potatoes and Sausage (half portion)
Water: 10 glasses (3 with S&S Metabolic Blend, 1 with Grapefruit, 1 with Lemon Essential Oil)

It is getting easier to get the workout out of the way. It is feeling less of a chore and as long as I go to bed earlier than 11pm, then 7am isn't hard to get up to at all. There are many things that need to change in my routine in the past and with this program, I think that it actually might work. I feel motivated to get up and workout where in the past, nothing would get me to do it. It is never fun to wheeze for air in the morning. After two weeks of doing this, I am doing pretty well if I say so myself. It has been up and down and hoping to have a big improvement and keep it that way.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Thirteen (January 28, 2013)

Sweet deal for the price!
Another weekend has gone by and I have to say that I splurged a little. We were invited to a party and there was cake. Luckily I didn't gain anything as I know as of right now. However, one great thing happened. I GOT MY PRODUCT! Yes, the doTerra Slim & Sassy Metabolic blend (gonna take some getting used to), TrimShakes (good right off the start) and Grapefruit (have yet to try that). This means that I am doing the contest rules right. The workout, I have decided, that it is best to do 1 hour hard work out and 1 hour normal workout. The adding of the weights was a great thing and I was pouring down with sweat.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "UFC Trainer" (Great Game)
1 hour Kinect "Your Shape" (afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Egg and Cottage Cheese
Lunch: Assorted nuts
Dinner: Healthy pizza with Salad
Water: 10 glasses (1 with Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend, 3 with Lemon Essential Oil)

Splurging on pizza is alright as long as it is healthy pizza and you don't eat TOO much. You can't say no to Prosciutto and lettuce. It was great to get my product. Had to wait 12 days because I am all the way in Poland. Oh well. It was worth the wait. Tomorrow, plan to use the Metabolic Blend throughout the day coupled with the grapefruit. Both are said to stop the appetite from getting to you. My arms are a little sore from the workout, but no pain, no gain. As it says on the scale, I am at 192.2 (87.1 kg) with a BMI of 28.1. The ideal weight for my height is 145 with a BMI of 22. So there is some work to do.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Ten (January 25, 2013)

Today was a good day. With the workout slowing down, I have to keep it up. I am still proud of myself that I am doing 1.5 hours a day. However, at that rate, I don't feel that I am going to reach my goal of -50 lbs () in 3 months. That is why I have to make it a priority to make it through a 3 hour workout every day. I bought weights (5 lbs. 2.5 kg) to incorportate in my workout routine and got UFC Trainer for Kinect. The Kinect and Wii are great alternatives to going to the gym. You don't have worry about spending time to drive down somewhere.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "Your Shape"
1/2 hour walking.

Meals:

Breakfast: 2 hard-boiled Eggs
Lunch: Open faced Sandwich with turkey and lettuce.
Dinner: Chili (Have a lot of this left)
Water: 6 glasses

When Jamie cooks, she cooks a lot. So that is why the Chili lasted 2 days. Normally we will be lucky if it lasts 1 day. That is the reason why I am fat! No, but seriously, she cooks a lot. The workout goal now is to do 3 hours of a workout a day no matter what. That is the only way that I am going to be able to make this a habit.

_____________________________________________________________
I have this on my Computer Screen

Day Nine (January 24, 2013)

Well, so far my busy schedule has stopped me from getting in my 3 hour workout a day and it is frustrating. However, have to bring home the bacon, so to speak. Today was a strange day with the water intake. I slacked a lot on it.

I need to maintain that. Throughout this diet to lose my fat belly, there are going to have to be things that I am going to have to push myself back to. Luckily working out every day hasn't slipped, just the length of time.

Workout:

1 hour Kinect "Your Shape"
1/2 hour Wii "Wii-Fit Plus"

Meals:

Breakfast: Cottage Cheese and Banana
Lunch: Sandwich (Open faced with Ham, Lettuce and Tomatoes)
Dinner: Chili (Homemade, not canned)
Water: 6 glasses (2 with Lemon Essential Oil

To clarify, the type of workout that I do is leg lifts, running in place, aerobic style routines, cardio boxing. This is combined with push-ups and sit ups. Should have clarified that sooner. Hopefully I will be able to get back to 3 hours. Have to make the effort regardless of time. It is always important if I am going to be healthy. There is a goal set and we have to maintain it.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Eight (January 23, 2013)

Today was a great day for the workout, however, I think that I am kind of overdoing it. 3 hours a day is time consuming. It is needed, but there is no time. I am still doing 1.5 hours of a workout and eating healthy. The scale reads that I have lost 4-5 lbs (around 2 kg). So that is a plus. It has been eight days without any fast food of any kind and the withdrawal symptoms have started. HA! Only joking. It seems that I will not need the fast food even after this competition because I will not have a liking for it anymore. Still waiting for the product to get to me so that I can start the Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend. Who knows how much I will lose once taking the blend, shakes and grapefruit. Hopefully it will fight off the cravings for junk food.

Workout:

1 hr. Kinect "Your Shape" (Morning)
1 hr. Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (Afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Cereal (Fitness)
Lunch: Cottage Cheese, Banana and Orange
Dinner: Salad with grilled chicken.
Water: 10 glasses (3 with Lemon Essential Oil)

All in all this is the best thing that I can do for myself. It is important to make myself healthy so that I can stop making myself tired from walking around places. The main goal is to make sure that I am healthy so that I can see my daughter grow up and have children of her own. To do this, I have to be healthy. This post is being put on late because the internet was acting funny. However, it is fun to see how much progress I have made daily.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Seven (January 22, 2013)

The day was better than Monday that is for sure. The stomach is starting to get angry with me and was growling all day. I had read somewhere that if you snack on healthy snacks throughout the day, then it will help you lose weight. So that is what I did with Apples and Oranges.
It's obtainable!

The workout was better too. I guess because of the break, it was kind of hard. However, my muscles were starting to ache. I have incorporated dancing into the workout and I tell you what, WOW! What a workout Just Dance 3 gives you! It is too cold to want to travel to the gym so I use what I have. The gym is 30 minutes away whereas the Wii is right in my room.

Workout:

1 hr Kinect "Your Shape" (morning)
1 hr Wii "Just Dance 3" (afternoon)
1/2 hour shoveling snow.

Meals:

Breakfast: Cereal (Fitness Cereal)
Lunch: Egg on Toast and Cottage Cheese
Dinner: Salad with Grilled Chicken
Water: 8 glasses (2 with Lemon Essential Oil)

This program has really made me appreciate working out and that it is easy to do. I had always used my time as being the problem to why I didn't work out, but that was clearly the wrong reason. For me it gives me motivation to know that I will have the body to be able to show my daughter the example of what a healthy living should be. I just want my grapefruit to get here so that I can stop the cravings! I think that my stomach is angry with me for starving it from McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut and KFC (All of which are 5 minutes from my house) However, it has been a week almost of this and only 13 more weeks to go to reach my goal of 50 lbs (22 kg) lighter!

_____________________________________________________________

Day Six (January 21, 2013)

If you are wondering where Day Four and Five went to, it was the weekend and that is a lighter workout on Saturday (2 hours) and no workout on Sunday. This is so that I don't burn out. Heard it from somewhere that was good to do. So this brings us to Monday. It was actually hard to get up because Sunday was a busy day and had to stay up late. However, I got up at 6am like clockwork. The day was really good with the diet. On the weekend, I stuck to my diet so that I don't have any weight gain and as the scale reads, I am at 191.4 lbs (86.4 kg). That is a pretty good start in my book. Mostly I have to say that the weight loss was giving up soda. No offense to the soda industry, but that was a large part of my diet. I was drinking 1 2L bottle of Pepsi (sometimes 2) a day. So on one hand, it saves me money.

Workout:

1 hr on Kinect "Your Shape" (morning)
1 hr on Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (afternoon)
1 hour walking outside (morning and afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Cottage Cheese and Egg on 1 piece of toast.
Lunch: Banana (Late Breakfast)
Dinner: Chicken strips (grilled) with Spanish Rice.
Water: 6 glasses (1 with Lemon Essential Oil)

Never was a fan of water and I let it slip today. Tomorrow I have to be better. With the 3 hr workouts a day, I have to keep up my water intake. The TrimShakes should be here soon and the metabolic blend. Hopefully that will settle the growling monster in my stomach. Hopefully the routine kicks in soon. It is getting kind of hard to get up in the morning. However, we must do what we have to do to make ourselves healthier. There are many goals that I haven't been able to fulfill, but this is not going to be one that I am going to just quit.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Three: (January 18, 2013)

My new addiction :) Well, with whole grain bread that is.
Another day, another battle. The workouts are wearing on my knees a bit, but they have to be done. I want to be able to lose this fat gut and not have to breathe heavily when I get to the top of the stairs. Like clockwork, the alarm got me up at 6am. Don't know what I am going to do tomorrow. The weekend starts and I feel that I will still do the workout routine. Why stop because of the weekend right?

Workout:

1 hr on Kinect "Your Shape" (morning)
1 hr. on Wii "Wii-Fit Plus" (afternoon)
1/2 hr walk outside (morning)

Meals:

Breakfast: Egg on small piece of grain toast and cottage cheese
Lunch: Egg on small piece of grain toast, cottage cheese (It was good) and an apple.
Dinner: Chicken and rice (small portion) and a piece of garlic bread
Water: 8 glasses (4 with 2 drops of Lemon Essential Oil)

Still waiting on my TrimShakes, Metabolic Blend and Grapefruit. Will have to wait for another 7-10 days until that gets here. However, that is not making me pause my workout. It will hopefully be here soon. However, the dieting is tough because we still have chips in the cupboard that I can't touch. I really don't want to because I plan to get down to 150 and I will do it. That is my determination that makes me fight the chips and fast food. Lucky for me, Jamie is being really supportive.

_____________________________________________________________

Day Two: (January 17, 2013)

Today was the first start of the workout and continuing to eat healthy. With everything taken into account, it was easy to get up this morning because I was actually excited to start the exercising. Waking up at 6am, I went and did what I was supposed to. The scale reads that I am at 192.2 lbs (87.1 kg). Seems a bit much for one day. Surely that will fluctuate.

Workout:

1 hr. on Kinect "YouShape" (morning)
1 hr. on Kinect "Dance Central" (afternoon)
1 hr. walk outside. (1/2 in the morning and afternoon)

Meals:

Breakfast: Banana, Oatmeal
Lunch: Cottage Cheese, a cup serving of left over beef stew.
Dinner: Lean cut beef stew with a fistful of meat. Fresh carrots and potatoes. (Jamie made a lot)
Water: 10 glasses (4 with 2 drops of Lemon Essential Oil)

For those of whom are following along with this, and don't have a Kinect, the workout consisted of aerobics with Cardio. Tomorrow will do strength training to build muscle. I have read that the more muscle you have on your body, the faster and more efficiently you will loose the weight. Waking up was easy put the walk in the morning was really hard. All I can say is that it will get better in time.

Day One: (January 16, 2013)

Starting Weight: 195.4 lbs (88.6 kg)
Today I started the program. I am planning to do a day to day addition to this page so keep this page in your favorites! Getting everything in order so that I can attempt (and succeed) to lose 50 lbs within 3 months. As you can see, I am not too big, 195.4 pounds (88.6 kg). However, I carry all my weight mostly in my stomach. So that is a BIG problem.

Workout:

None, because was busy getting everything in order

Meals:

Breakfast: Apple and Banana
Lunch: Skipped it for some reason
Dinner: Lean cut beef stew with a fistful of meat. Fresh carrots and potatoes.
Water: 7 glasses (3 glasses with 2 drops Lemon Essential Oil)

This is all part of a program to teach me how to live a healthier lifestyle than the one I am living now. The competition is at http://www.iamslimandsassy.com/contestants.php?letter=D. As of right now, I have a 1 in 15 chance to win the grand prize. The contestants are still registering until the 31st. My goals are in detail, but I want to see for myself if I will be able to get down to 140-150 lbs. (63-68 kg). Yes, that is a lot. However, it is healthy because I have 3 months to lose the most weight and inches. At the end of the day, it is mainly that I have the healthy lifestyle and be able to say no to Big Macs and Double Whoppers! Wish me luck!
